The Publishing Centre is headed by a manager who is appointed and removed from office by the Director of the Theatre Institute.
The following activities are defined for the Publishing Centre:
The Publishing Centre focuses primarily on research into contemporary Slovak theatre and publication of theatre-related literature. It publishes original plays, translations of foreign plays, and original and translated works focused on theatre history, theory, and criticism, as well as biographies and memoirs of prominent figures from the field of theatre. The Publishing Centre’s scope of activities includes also distribution of Theatre Institute’s publications, and operation of the PROSPERO Information Centre. The Publishing Centre is also responsible for coordinating the electronic monthly magazine kød – konkrétne ø divadle (kød – concretely about theatre).
The Publishing Centre has the following organizational structure:
- Head Manager,
- Theatrologist – Editor-in-Chief of the magazine kød – konkrétne ø divadle,
- Theatrologist – Editor of the magazine kød – konkrétne ø divadle,
- Manager of the PROSPERO Information Centre.
