The Office of the Director of the Theatre Institute falls under the direct supervision of the Director of the Theatre Institute. The Director of the Theatre Institute appoints and removes the Head of the Office from office.
The following activities are defined for the Office of the Director of the Theatre Institute:
Comprehensive management of the operations of the Office of the Director of the Theatre Institute, maintenance of the central registry of the Theatre Institute’s documents, communication with the Theatre Institute’s founding authority – the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic, and collaboration on Theatre Institute projects in coordination with other centres of the Theatre Institute. It provides support for the work of several Slovak centres of non-governmental organizations operating in the field of theatre (SIBMAS, ITI, IETM, ENICPA, ICOM, and others). It prepares analytical data and reports for the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic and other public sector institutions.
The Office of the Director of the Theatre Institute has the following organizational structure:

- Production Manager, Driver,
- IT Specialist.
