He studed directing at the Theatre Faculty at the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts (JAMU) in Brno. For some period of time he studied at Dartington College of Arts. As a director he has worked mostly in the Czech Republic (National Theatre, Činoherní klub), and Slovakia (Slovak National Theatre, Žilina Town Theatre) as well as some other countries. He also writes theatre plays.
