Dragan Klaic passed away

On the 25th of August Dragan Klaic passed away. Dragan was born in former Yugoslavia. His work had an important professional and human aspect and was devoted to current issues of cultural policy, European and international cooperation and networking strategies, and cultural development. He was very active in realising closer relations between east and west Europe. He was director of Theater Instituut Nederland (TIN) 1992 and 2001, teacher for art faculties of various universities throughout Europe, speaker at many international congresses. Dragan wrote several publications.
The Theatre Institute Bratislava expresses condolences and sadness at the loss of a unique personality of Dragan Klaic.
We highly appreciate the cooperation we could commence in 2007 and to build on the recent past. We are grateful for strong support for the expert advice to this year's international conference at The International Festival Divadelna Nitra.
It was really one of the last Renaissance scholars, knowledgeable professional, helpful and ever willing to provide advice and feedback.
His passing is a loss to the theatrical community in the world.
