The Monitoring of Theatres in Slovakia Information Network
The objective of the IS Theatre.sk – the Monitoring of Theatres in Slovakia project is to monitor drama including all genres in state, independent and regional theatres in Slovakia.The partners and co-organizers of the project – the Bratislava Theatre Institute, AICT Slovak Centre (the International Association of Theatre Critics) and the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Music and Performing Arts initiated the monitoring of state, regional and independent theatres in Slovakia, which, in November 2006, eventuated in the creation of the IS Theatre.sk – the Monitoring of Theatres in Slovakia project. The aim of this project is to inform theatrical as well as broader cultural public about current situation in Slovak theatres, and to present complete analyses of individual seasons.
The statements of professional evaluators create on the website of this project an online database and archive of a complete view on a theatre season in each theatre. The selected statements are published as reviews, studies and analysis articles in the kød - konkrétne o divadle journal but also in the form of discussions, scientific seminars and workshops. Once a year there is a discussion forum held between the organizers and reviewers of the project on the productions of the season.
