CULTURAL CONTACT POINT
The Cultural Contact Points (CCP) were established in the Member States and the associated countries of the European Union in 1998 in relation to the preparation and implementation of the largest Community framework programme entitled ”Culture 2000 programme” in support of culture.
The Cultural Contact Point Slovakia has been established as a co-ordination centre for the implementation of the above-mentioned programme in the Slovak Republic. It was set up by the Department of European Integration at the International Co-operation Section of the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic.
From the beginning of the year 2005 the CCP Slovakia is not any more incorporated into the Ministry of Culture, but it works within the Theatre Institute in Bratislava.
