ITs Festival Amsterdam prichádza s výzvou pre študentov performatívnych umení, ktorí skončili štúdium tento akademický rok alebo ho ukončia budúce leto.
Uzávierka prihlášok je 1. októbra 2011.
What is ITs Festival Amsterdam?
The ITs Festival Amsterdam is the biggest European festival where you can scout over 200 theatre
talents in more than 60 unique productions. The artistic directors of the ITs festival are Theu
Boermans (theatre) and Tim Persent (dance).
ITs is a wonderful opportunity to catch a glimpse of how the performing arts will look in the coming
years. Already 22 editions, at the end of June, the latest crop of performing artists yearly flood the
multi-cultural city of Amsterdam. During these nine festival days, students and professionals come
together to see the new graduates make their first appearance on a professional stage. Alongside the
productions, the festival program is filled with inspiring debates, workshops and talk shows, ending
every day with the famous ITs after party.
The performances represent specifically those academies that train the students to become theatre
practitioners (i.e. actors, dancers) and/or theatre makers (i.e. directors, choreographers) and presents
the following theatre disciplines: drama, cabaret, mime, musical theatre, opera, modern dance,
classical ballet and jazz dance.
ITs’ main objective is to bridge a gap between the educational school years and the professional
world. To achieve this boost to the careers of young talent, ITs invites not only performing artists to
show their work at the festival, but also invites numerous international scouts, impresarios, directors,
programmers and other professionals to come watch, discuss, works, eat and party together with this
new crop of talent. ITs is the breading ground to start an international career!
